Humans vs. Cars

It’s ridiculous when you observe the life patterns of a typical American. We drive cars that require maintenance, tires and oil changes. Even if we don’t take good care of our car, at minimum we put the correct fuel in the gas tank.

The car runs on the fuel you put into it. When it runs low or out, you add more. It’s constantly using fuel.
Our bodies are similar machines.
They run on the fuel you feed them. What isn’t used up as energy is eliminated.  If you are not using the fuel or eliminating the unused portion, you are carrying it around on your hips and belly, thighs and legs.

I want you to be aware of the amount of fuel and type of fuel you are feeding your body. If you have a desk job, it is logical that you would require fewer calories than someone who is a bike courier. The type of calories you put into your body engine makes a difference too.

Chemicals and man-made food items do not count as nutrition. Their purpose is to “fill you up”. Just as if I were to put diet soda or toilet paper in my gas tank, that doesn’t mean my car will run well, but it will fill up the space in my gas tank.
Why is it that the majority of Americans take better care of their “things” than they do themselves?
